Collette Gibbons (she/her)

Collette is the founder and owner of Collette C. Gibbons, NP, LLC. She is a dual certified Psychiatric Mental Health and Family nurse practitioner. She's passionate about understanding and helping with mental, physical, and emotional health, which is why she focuses on a comprehensive approach called integrative psychiatry.

Her practice incorporates mind and body therapies combined with evidence-based medicine. Her approach goes beyond just managing and suppressing symptoms. Collette specializes in careful prescribing for mental health, providing positive support, looking at nutrition and dietary concerns, improving sleep, managing stress, and helping people with their overall lifestyle. Collette welcomes patients ages 6 and older.

Collette’s special interests are those who have experienced trauma or are going through grief and loss.

Collette has a long and impressive medical career, spanning over 24 years. She has extensive primary care experience in various aspects of healthcare, including internal medicine, out-patient mental health care, and acute and chronic care management. She earned a Master’s degree at Vanderbilt University in Family Health and a Post-Master’s Certification at Robert Morris University in Psych Mental Health along with a Business degree from the Ohio State University.

More than just focusing on individual patients, Collette believes in healing their families and the larger community. She's an advocate for community mental health and actively contributes as a board member at Outreach Teen and Family Services. Her main goal is to reshape the way we think about mental health, breaking down the stigma and building a practice that focuses on healing and understanding the individual. She feels immense gratitude to be a part of people's healing journeys amidst the challenges of life.
